Born on October 30, 1982, in L’Haÿ-les-Roses, Clémence Poésy is the daughter of actor/writer Étienne Guichard and a teacher. Her journey into acting began at the young age of 14 when she landed her first role, a role with only two lines but a remarkable performance. Notably, her younger sister, Maëlle Poésy-Guichard, is also an actress.

Poésy’s passion for acting led her to pursue formal training in drama and acting at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique and Paris Nanterre University. Her breakthrough came with the BBC mini-series “Gunpowder, Treason & Plot” in 2004, where she portrayed Mary, Queen of Scots, earning her accolades like the 2005 Golden FIPA.

Her fame soared when she took on the role of Fleur Delacour in “Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire.” Subsequently, she continued to captivate audiences in various projects, including the movie “In Bruges” alongside Colin Farrell and the film “Heartless” in 2008. Poésy reprised her role as Fleur Delacour in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.”
