The discovery came after the key suspect, NSW police officer Beaumont Lamarre-Condon, revealed the location while being interviewed in custody. Lamarre had previously dated Baird and refused to cooperate with the murder investigation.
Jesse Baird, my friend, my brother this is helping me seeing past photos and videos. I’m going to miss you so much. We all loved you – kind, funny, caring and a great role model to our beautiful boys Reggie and Arlo. RIP Jesse and Luke. 🥹💔 pic.twitter.com/V9C24uMA3U

Bodies Found Partially Hidden Under Rocks and Debris
The police said the bodies were partially hidden under “rocks and debris” at the Bungonia site. Two surf bags, believed to have been used to transport the bodies, were also found at the scene.
Earlier searches by police divers and sniffer dogs at locations including Royal National Park and Grays Point oval did not yield results. However, Lamarre provided the breakthrough information on Tuesday morning that led detectives to the victims’ remains.
Assistant Commissioner Michael Fitzgerald said Lamarre was “forthcoming with detectives about the location” during the interview at Silverwater jail.
No, Karen Webb, we’re not grateful that the murder Lamarre-Cordon finally disclosed where the bodies are. No, Jesse Baird was not in a relationship with the murderer. Yes, NSW Police needs to take accountability for their negligence in this and other cases.

Couple Allegedly Murdered at Home With Suspect’s Work Gun
Baird, a former TV presenter for Network 10’s Studio 10, and Qantas flight attendant Davies were allegedly murdered inside Baird’s Paddington home in Sydney on February 19.
Investigators found a bullet matching Lamarre-Condon’s work-issued gun at the crime scene, along with significant blood traces and upturned furniture.
The suspect, who did not report to work the day after the alleged murders, was charged based on his prior relationship with Baird. Blood-stained clothes, a phone and credit cards were also seized by police.
Did Police Commissioner Karen Webb just say *we're grateful to the accused for telling us the location of the bodies*… GRATEFUL to a psychopathic murdering monster for finally telling them where he put the bodies… WTF is wrong with her???? #nswpolice #JesseBaird #LukeDavies pic.twitter.com/vCU0XVpwO3

Bodies Shifted From Initial Site With Van
According to police accounts, Lamarre and an acquaintance purchased an angle grinder and padlock before driving to the Bungonia property. The accomplice reportedly waited at the gate while Lamarre cut the lock and entered the site.
the idea that nsw police should be in any way commended for their work on locating jesse baird and luke davies is ridiculous. their colleague was the one that killed them, with their gun, that he had access to because they let him on the force and didn’t keep track of it.

Detectives believe Lamarre later returned to move the bodies to a new location about 20 minutes away, where they were eventually found. The van used for transport was located last Friday based on accounts of witnesses.

Lamarre Not Cooperative Initially, Remanded Without Bail
Lamarre did not comment on the charges when produced in court earlier. He did not seek bail and his case has been adjourned to April 23 to allow further police investigations.
Deputy Commissioner Dave Hudson had said earlier that Lamarre was not “cooperating with them.” However, the breakthrough on Tuesday has provided critical information to aid the investigation.
The accomplice who assisted Lamarre is said to be cooperating fully with detectives and is deemed an “innocent agent” by police. The search for answers regarding the exact circumstances surrounding the tragic deaths of Baird and Davies continues.
